Dear Eighth Grade Parents,
Graduation is just around the corner and there are many events and activities planned to help celebrate this special time. We know that your Homeroom Moms have been working hard to help raise funds for all to participate so that we can enjoy some of the traditions that some of our siblings have had here at Saint Luke. Another Tradition here at Saint Luke School, a graduation fee is necessary to collect from each family. This year the cost for everything needed for each child will be $130. This fee covers the caps, gowns, awards, diploma, programs and flowers and is due April 4th. Checks are made payable to Saint Luke School.
Here are the dates for some of the events that are coming and fees that are needed for graduation:
· Final exams for eighth grade only----May 21st, 22nd, 23rd
(on Friday May 23rd----8th grade only will be dismissed at NOON---all 8th graders must be picked up)
· Tuesday May 27th ---8th students come to school for a retreat and graduation practice-------Walk off at 11:00 am (all students must be picked up at 11:00am)
· Wednesday May 28th ----8th Grade Trip to Busch Gardens (details to follow)
Dress code for trip?St. Luke T-shirt and appropriate jeans/shorts/sneakers
· Thursday May 29th
Honors Dinner
hosted by Seventh Grade Class
7:00 pm in the Parish Hall
Dress code for Honor's Dinner:
Girls?semi-formal attire?no strapless dresses
Boys---semi-formal suit or jacket, tie---no sneakers
· Friday May 30th ----free day
· Saturday May 31st at 10:00 am in the church---GRADUATION
Graduation attire must be appropriate:
§ Girls need to wear white or light colored dress or skirt
§ Boys need to wear a white shirt and tie with dark pants)
§ Both boys and girls must wear appropriate dress shoes---no sneakers
